How long it takes
Most parcels arrive in 8–11 business days. This is an estimate — customs may occasionally add a day or two, and we'll always keep you posted if anything moves.
We're a young brand growing fast, and right now some of our gear is brought in to order so we don't sit on stock and pass that saving to you. As we move our best-sellers into local stock, delivery on those drops to 2–4 business days — you'll see the faster window noted right on the product page when it applies.
Dispatch & handling
We process and dispatch orders within 1 business day (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays). Order on a weekend and we'll get it moving first thing Monday.
Courier
We ship with Aramex Store-to-Door — a trusted SA courier that delivers right to your door. Larger or bulkier items (think big beds and the like) go door-to-door on a dedicated courier so they arrive safe and sound.
Tracking your order
The moment your parcel leaves us, you'll get an email with your tracking number. Pop that number into the Aramex tracking page and watch it make its way to you. Lost the email? Message us and we'll resend it.
Something not right?

How long will my order take to arrive? Most orders land in 8–11 business days anywhere in South Africa. That's an estimate — customs can occasionally add a day or two. As we move popular gear into local stock, those items ship in 2–4 business days, and we'll flag the faster window right on the product page.
Do you ship nationwide? Yes — every province, every town a courier can reach. We're a South African brand shipping to South Africans.
How do I track my parcel? As soon as your order ships, we email you a tracking number. Drop it into the Aramex tracking page and you can follow it all the way to your door. Can't find the email? Message us and we'll send it again.
How much is delivery? R99 flat on orders under R1000, and FREE on everything R1000 and over. Easy way to score free shipping: build out the Adventure Kit.
What payment methods do you accept? We use Yoco, a secure South African payment provider. You can pay by credit or debit card, EFT, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Your card details never touch our hands — Yoco handles it all on encrypted, bank-grade infrastructure.
Are you a real South African business? We are. Veldhound is SA-owned and SA-run, packed and shipped from here at home. Payments settle to a South African bank via Yoco, you've got a real person to talk to, and you're covered by South African consumer law (CPA & ECTA). What's your return policy? If it's not right, we'll make it right. Under South African law (ECTA) you have a 7 business day cooling-off period to cancel an online order for a full refund — and we honour that as our floor. If something arrives faulty or damaged, message us and we'll sort a replacement or refund. Full details are on our Refund Policy page.
How do I pick the right size for my dog? Every product page has a sizing guide. The quick version: grab a soft tape measure, take your dog's chest girth (the widest part, just behind the front legs) and neck girth, and match those to the size chart. Between two sizes? Size up for comfort. Still unsure — send us your dog's measurements and breed and we'll recommend a fit.
Is the gear actually good quality? We don't sell anything we wouldn't strap onto our own dogs for a day in the bushveld. Our hero gear — like the no-pull adventure harness — is reflective, padded, and built for real trails, not just the backyard. If it doesn't hold up, our returns have your back.
Can I change or cancel my order? If your order hasn't shipped yet, message us quickly and we'll change or cancel it. Once it's with the courier, your 7-day cooling-off right still applies — just reach out.
Do you offer cash on delivery? No — all orders are paid securely upfront via Yoco. It keeps things fast, safe, and lets us get your gear moving the same day.
